Description

The MINI John Cooper Works has always been the car that makes you question why anyone needs more than three doors and two litres. The F56 generation settled that argument permanently. This example — registered in 2018 and now showing 54,000 km — is the version that got everything right before the facelift complicated the formula. Under the bonnet sits the B48 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder producing 228 hp and 320 Nm of torque, rising to 350 Nm on overboost. Paired with the sport automatic transmission and Performance Control, it reaches 0–100 km/h in 6.1 seconds and pushes on to a top speed of 246 km/h. The combined fuel consumption sits at approximately 6.9 litres per 100 km with CO2 emissions of 155 g/km, which translates to an annual road tax of just €175 on the island — one of the lowest running costs for any car with this kind of performance. The exterior wears Moonwalk Grey with the black roof and mirror cap package, giving the car a two-tone profile that keeps the proportions tight. The 18-inch JCW Cup Spoke wheels in two-tone finish sit on runflat tyres and frame the red JCW brake calipers visible behind the spokes. At the rear, the signature twin centre exhaust pipes exit through the JCW diffuser beneath a fixed rear spoiler. LED headlights and white direction indicators complete the front-end lighting. Inside, the JCW sports seats in Dinamica and leather with Carbon Black colour line and red contrast detailing hold you in place through every corner without punishing you on a long motorway run. The interior surfaces in Black Chequered pattern add texture without clutter. A JCW leather steering wheel with multifunction controls sits ahead of the driver display and the centrally mounted 8.8-inch Navigation Professional screen with MINI Connected XL and DAB tuner. Automatic air conditioning, cruise control with braking function and rain sensor handle the daily rhythm. A front centre armrest, passenger seat height adjustment, storage compartment package and ISOFIX child seat mounts make the car more practical than the three-door silhouette suggests. The boot offers 211 litres with the seats up and 731 litres with them folded — enough for a weekend away or a full weekly shop. The Chili pack brings together the sports seats, enhanced Bluetooth preparation, MINI Excitement Package ambient lighting and sun protection glazing into a single option that covers most of the comfort essentials. An alarm system and locking wheel bolts handle security. Park distance control at the rear and Intelligent Emergency Call round out the safety specification. This car was imported from the United Kingdom and is ready for sale at €30,000. For a hot hatch that seats four, costs €175 a year in road tax and can keep pace with cars twice its price through the Troodos bends, this is a hard specification to argue against on the island.
